Plain game: a daily exercise in estimation

Plain turns a sense of scale into a short daily puzzle. The original game presents seven targets and takes about three minutes to play.

Think in comparisons

Instead of memorising an exact figure, consider relative size: a mountain compared with another mountain, a film’s box office compared with a familiar blockbuster, or a population compared with a country you know.

Learn from the reveal

After a round, the real values give you a new reference point. Use that feedback to refine your next estimate.

Take your flight

Our independent game offers five name rounds and two numerical estimates, with sourced facts, a hidden golden round, and a flight report. Play today’s flight or try a practice flight first. The game currently supports English and Simplified Chinese.

Read our data sources and scoring rules. The original Plain inspired the gameplay; our puzzles, data selection, artwork and implementation are maintained independently.
